Rocksteady with B Soul All stars !

Direct me ! (right through your heart)

medium_loveman.jpgOne of the best album of the icon.

Yes. Otis was already dead when this great album went out. But Steve Cropper, the guitarist behind the sound of all the precedent albums and these of Stax Records was there and produced the whole thing.

So listen to this great guitar, and this bass. Otis never sounded so great.

I must admit I cry when I listen to this.

Rat pfink, I am you !

medium_247.jpegFor all of you who have been at the 40's birthday of my friend Philippe, some weeks ago, perhaps you remember (yes, I'm sure you do) I was costumed on...

Rat Pfink !!

Yes, this strange music-hero  had really existed and it was on 1966. Ron Haydock, the man behind the mask sung a Rat fink theme.

Here it goes :

Nick Armstrong on my mind

 medium_single.gif

One new sensation from England, but a true rock one. I had heard about the first album of Nick Armstrong and the Thieves some months ago, (an album recorded by the famous Liam Watson at the legendary Toe Rag studio) then, nothing. And I had the chance to clash on this super song yesterday on radioblogclub.com. "In your arms in my mind" is without doubt a single caus it's not included in the album from 2005, (perhaps in their new single ?), but it's a superb pop/folk song, as I hadn't heard the same since long time. Listen to it, believe me, it's a killer.

Some mp3 on their page on myspace

Perhaps secretly canadian, but so good !

medium_SC103.jpgAs early as this afternoon, I talked with Hervé, a good pop friend of mine about music (what else ?), and my personnal revelations of these last weeks.

I  wasn't able to tell something, caus I'm so busy at this moment.

But just after he quit, I put this record on the record player.

 Yes ! this is it !! :

My record of the month : DANIELSON, Ships (Secretly canadian), 2006. (the label of Anthony and the Johnsons, the Earlies, I love you but I've chosen darkness... mp3 for each artist !!)

Oh yes, it's so good when it's as pop and as foolish as this !
